Detailed geophysical and geological investigations to identify copper lead and zinc mineralization around Ambaji, Banaskantha district are in progress.
The Institute of Seismological Research (ISR) encourages young researchers in the field of Earth Science to pursue their career in research and development. ISR also provides scientific training and internship to graduate and postgraduate students of various universities and institutes. Interested students can apply for internship/training/dissertation along with a short CV and application form (Application Form) through proper procedure. Students must undergo at least 6 weeks of training continuously in ISR, otherwise their candidature will not be considered. Selected candidates must bring a printout of their application forms, duly signed by the HODs of the respective departments, with official seal, at the time of arrival for training at ISR. Applications should be sent to training[at]isr[dot]res[dot]in from 01 February to 15 April and from 01 September to 15 November of every year. The names of the shortlisted candidates will be announced through website/email in the first week of May and in the first week of December, respectively.
