Ph.D. (2011) on the topic “Determination of crustal strain field in Kumaun lesser to Tethys Himalaya using Global Positioning System (GPS) geodesy” under the supervision of Prof. V. K. Gaur and Prof. B. S. Kotlia at Department of Geology, Kumaun University Nainital.

  • Acting as a Co-PI of a joint “Intraplate seismicity in India and Norway: Distribution, properties and causes” project sponsored by MoES(GOI), 2019-2022.

  • Crustal Deformation study using GPS network of ISR sponsored by DST (GoG), 2015 – 2020.

  • Identification of progressively growing crustal strain zones along MCT in Uttarakhand Himalaya, using GPS geodesy, Sponsored by SERB-DST (GoI), 2013 – 2017.

  • GPS & GAGAN/ IRNSS data analysis for Intra-Plate Geodynamic profiling in Active Seismic Zones, collaborative proposal with SAC-NRSA, sponsored by ISRO. 2015 – 2019.

  • Correlation of IRNSS data with GPS data for the development of IRNSS, sponsored by ISRO. 2016 onwards.

  • Running and maintenance of four GPS stations of Gujarat region for online transmission of data to INCOIS, part of ISGN Indian Seismic GNSS Network (ISGN) of MoeS. 2009-2017.

  • Crustal deformation study along NSL using GPS, in collaboration with NITR, 2020 onwards.

Supervision :

  • Three Ph.D. students are registered under my supervision at Gujarat University and Adikavi Nannaya University, Rajahmundary, A.P., for their Ph.D. degree.

  • More than a dozen of MS.C. Students completed dissertation work under my supervision.

Detailed geophysical and geological investigations to identify copper lead and zinc mineralization around Ambaji, Banaskantha district are in progress.

ISR has initiated a project on imaging the shallow subsurface of the Kachchh district for delineation of ground water aquifers and fresh water-saline water interface.
